Abstract :
"An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" SARS-CoV-2 belongs to the larger family of (RNA) viruses, leading to infections, ranging from the common cold to more serious diseases. Since the WHO affirmed COVID-19 as a pandemic, recommended outbreak infection control measures are being globally employed. Measures to prevent person-to-person transmission were widely implemented. Considering this fact, a descriptive study was conducted with an aim to assess the knowledge regarding COVID-19 and its preventive measures among higher secondary students in selected school, Thrissur. 60 samples were selected by using convenience sampling technique. The result showed that 43 (73%) had moderate knowledge, whereas 9 (15%) has adequate knowledge and only 8 (13%) had inadequate knowledge regarding COVID-19 and its preventive measures.
